Use The Furniture Bank to Help You Downsize

Downsizing and don't know what to do with your kids' old bedroom furniture or that lamp from Aunt Tilly that you never liked?  The Furniture Bank is a charity and social enterprise that collects gently used furniture from the Toronto community and transfers it to families transitioning out of homelessness or displacement.  Community support for the Toronto Furniture Bank has created homes for nearly 11,000 people in 2016 (and over 80,000 since inception!!) and provides work for individuals facing barriers to employment.  Even better, you will receive a tax receipt for the fair market value of your furniture.  The Furniture Bank has also partnered with You Move Me, furniture movers, to create a "one stop shop" for those downsizing and moving to a new home.  Arrange your move with You Move Me, and they will take the furniture you want to keep to your new home, and the furniture you want to donate to the Furniture Bank.  What could be easier?  For more information about Toronto's Furniture Bank and its various services, please CLICK HERE.
