Whether you are a veteran, with several home purchases under your belt, or are new to the real estate market, I believe that buying a home is not just a dollar and cents economic investment. It’s that feeling you get when you walk thru the door, that you’ve arrived HOME. No matter that this house or condo doesn’t have every feature on your wishlist - you have a big smile on your face because you’ve made the “I’d love to live there” connection. This is the result I strive to deliver to all my clients.
I came to real estate after a successful career in sales, marketing and project management at IBM Canada, where I held both country-wide and North American responsibilities and won a number of marketing awards. I am also no stranger to home construction, having a spouse in the industry and having renovated many homes over the years. I have worked closely with architects, structural engineers, and trades, and have been through the building permit and Committee of Adjustment processes first hand. I know what physically goes into the making of a house, and what to look for beyond the fresh paint and bowl of apples artfully arranged on the kitchen counter.
I love Toronto. I grew up in New York City and came here to do graduate work at the University of Toronto. Like New York, Toronto is truly a city of ever-changing neighbourhoods; each with its own character and appeal. So whether you are looking for a large family home on a street with 100-year-old trees or a loft conversion in an edgy, evolving area, I can help you find that sweet spot.
I am proud to be a member of the highly professional team at Johnston & Daniel. I look forward to working with you to achieve the results you want ... whether to find the home that speaks to your heart, or successfully market your current home.
About the Brokerage I Work For - Johnston & Daniel
Over the years, Johnston & Daniel has served generations of Toronto's most respected families well. By offering caring, intuitive service and building long-term relationships with our clients, we've become the most trusted name in Toronto real estate.
In the early 1950s, founders Robert Johnston and Eggerton Daniel had an interesting idea: hire women to sell homes. It was a revolutionary approach in the post-war era, when real estate was a predominantly male bastion and women stayed at home. This initiative was immediately accepted by a number of female sales agents who lived in Rosedale, Moore Park, Forest Hill and Lawrence Park. As a result, the Johnston & Daniel name quickly became the most sought-after real estate brand for the best homes in Toronto's premiere neighbourhoods.
Jamie Gairdner took over the helm of Johnston & Daniel from his uncle in the 1970s. Jaime successfully ran and expanded the firm until its merger with Royal LePage in 1994. With the merger, two very strong brands were combined to form the powerhouse Royal LePage Real Estate Services/Johnston & Daniel Division. Currently, Christine Mitchell and Ahmed Helmi lead the dynamic, high-profile division as it continues to be a destination company for proven and successful real estate professionals dedicated to a culture of excellence.
Market Presence: For the last few years, Johnston & Daniel, through its affiliation with Royal LePage, has had the honourable distinction of being Toronto’s Number One Real Estate Brokerage for the entire Greater Toronto Area.
